Walsh currently serves as the President for Safety
Cost Improvement, LLC.
Previously,
Mr. Walsh was the UPS Corporate Health and Safety
Director Worldwide. In this position, he devised and
implemented a process improvement strategy that reduced
injury frequencies by more than 50 percent.
In
his 31-year career with UPS, Mr. Walsh also served
as a Human Resources Manager and as an Operations
Division Manager in locations throughout the United
States. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Walsh was the Director
of Human Resources for UPS Europe. In addition, he
was also a key member of various UPS corporate committees
including the Intranet Strategy Committee, Information
Technology Strategy Committee, and the Human Resources
Strategy Committee.
Mr.
Walsh was Chairman of the NETS (Network of Employers
for Traffic Safety) Board of Directors from 1998 to
2001. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board Advisory
Committee
Mr.
Walsh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
and a Masters degree in Psychology from Boston College.

Charlie
Halfen is the Corporate Fleet Safety Manager for UPS,
the world's largest package delivery company and a
leading global provider of specialized transportation
and logistics services. The company manages the flow
of goods, funds, and information in more than 200
countries and territories worldwide.
Mr. Halfen began his career with UPS in 1978 as a
part-time loader in Dallas. He became a Package Car
Driver in 1981 and drove for several years before
being promoted to On-Road Supervisor then Center Manager
managing several locations until becoming a District
Safety Manager in 1989.
He
was promoted to a Regional Health & Safety Manager
in 1995 and is currently the UPS Corporate Fleet Safety
Manager. Mr. Halfen represents UPS on the NETS (Network
of Employers for Traffic Safety) Board of Directors.

Mike Heembrock. CSP

Michael
W. Heembrock, CSP, is Vice President and manages the
Commercial Auto and Workers Compensation Loss Control
Services of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies,
a leading worldwide property and casualty insurer.
Mike received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial
Safety and for the past 27 years has been employed
by Chubb in various loss control positions around the
country. His job has brought him into contact with
thousands of businesses seeking to reduce their exposure
to operational losses.
Mike is a Certified Safety Professional, a member of
the American Society of Safety Engineers and the National
Safety Management Society. He is co-chair of the Loss
Control Roundtable of the American Insurance Association
and serves as a member of the task force developing
a voluntary standard for fleet safety management for
the American National Standards Institute. Heembrock
is a Past Chair of the NETS National Board of Directors
and currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Maureen
Mazurek

| Maureen
Mazurek is the Director of Worldwide Vehicle Safety
for Monsanto Company. She was responsible for the
original development and implementation of their program
and she currently manages the effort globally. In
addition to her leadership role, Maureen directly
supports all 40 Vehicle Safety Teams and leads the
Global Vehicle Safety Network. Maureen is part of
the Monsanto Corporate Leadership Team and also serves
as a member of the Monsanto Global Environmental Safety
& Health Leadership Team.
In
Maureen’s 12 years with Monsanto she’s
developed a broad operational background. Her career
includes key leadership roles as Plant Manager, Human
Resource Lead, Worldwide Logistics Lead, Procurement
Lead, and Strategic Product Manager.
Maureen holds a BS in Supply Chain & Manufacturing
Management from Bowling Green University, a BS in
Chemistry from Duke University and a Masters in Business
Administration (MBA) from Tulane University. She is
a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) and serves on
the NETS (Network of Employers for Traffic Safety),
Kids In Cars, and Farm Safety 4 Just Kids Boards of
Directors.
She,
her husband Chris, and 4-year old daughter Lauren
currently live in St Louis, MO.

Melton, CRSP,

Dave
Melton is responsible at the corporate level for developing
and supporting transportation related safety and health
products and consulting services. He advocates and
participates in transportation-related research projects
at the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety.
Mr. Melton has held numerous positions in both field
and executive management and senior technical roles.
His 36-year career with Liberty Mutual has moved him
frequently throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Melton represents Liberty Mutual on the Network
of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS) where he is
on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
He was recently elected Vice Chairman of the NETS
Board of Directors, and beginning February 2006 he
will lead NETS as Chairman.
He
is a past member of the Board of Directors of the
Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI). He was
Chairman of the Board, Elect, of the Texas Safety
Association and served on the Board of Directors.
Mr. Melton has received an appointment to the permanent
Committee on Truck and Bus Safety, A3B57, of the Transportation
Research Board, National Academy of Sciences &
Engineering. He also represents NETS on the ANSI Z-15
Accredited Standards Committee on Safety Requirements
for Motor Vehicle Fleet Operations.
Mr. Melton holds an A.B. degree from Eastern Kentucky
University. He is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional
(CRSP) and a Certified Director of Safety (CDS).

Jay
Minotas
Manager, Safe Driving Program

| Jay
Minotas is the Manager of General Motors’ (GM)
Safe Driving Program headquartered in Detroit, Michigan.
He began his career at GM 28 years ago and has worked
in the company’s safety arena for the past 17
years.
After
assignments with Chevrolet, GM overseas, and Saturn,
in 1995, Mr. Minotas helped create GM’s Safe
Driving Program and has been the Manager since the
program’s inception. The goal of GM’s
Safe Driving Program is to eliminate vehicle-related
deaths and injuries among GM’s company vehicle
drivers and their family members.
The
GM Safe Driving Program has been recognized for its
outstanding work in employee traffic safety by the
Michigan Center for Truck Safety, the Michigan State
Safety Commission, the U.S. Army Combat Readiness
Center and the U.S. Marines.
Mr.
Minotas is a founding member of NETS and currently
serves as the Finance Chair on the NETS Board of Directors.
He is also an active member of the Michigan NETS Advisory
Board, the National Safety Council’s Highway
Traffic Safety Division, and the American Driver Traffic
Safety Education Association.

Stephanie
Pratt is coordinator of the NIOSH motor vehicle safety
research program. She also coordinates planning of
NIOSH research for the transportation, warehousing,
and utilities industry sector. Ms. Pratt is principal
investigator for the project “Risk Factors for
Vehicle Crashes among Public Employees,” which
is examining motor vehicle crash experience among
state department of transportation employees and active
duty military personnel.
She
is the NIOSH representative to several organizations
interested in occupational road safety, and has prepared
numerous NIOSH policy responses related to road safety.
She has also authored publications on young worker
safety and highway work zone safety. Before joining
NIOSH in 1993, Ms. Pratt managed the census data center
in the West Virginia University School of Medicine.
Ms.
Pratt holds a Bachelor’s degree in applied music
and Master’s degrees in applied music and applied
social research from West Virginia University. She
represents NIOSH on the NETS (Network of Employers
for Traffic Safety) Board of Directors. |

G. Anderson

| Richard
Anderson is a Fleet Analyst at the Baltimore Gas &
Electric (BGE) Company. Over a thirty-five year career
with the utility, Mr. Anderson has benefited BGE in
technical and leadership positions. His work in fleet
safety led to a motor vehicle crash reduction rate
of 60 percent over a five-year period. Because of
his innovation and leadership, BGE is able to successfully
identify and remediate drivers most likely to experience
motor vehicle collisions.
Mr.
Anderson also established BGE as an Employer Tester
in the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration’s
Commercial Driver Licensing Program. He has worked
tirelessly to promote team well-being for BGE employees
by promoting child safety seat and safety belt use,
as well as teen safety for company employees and their
families.
He
is also a member in Maryland’s community of
highway traffic safety professionals. Active as an
officer in the Maryland Motor Truck Association’s
Safety Management Council, he has been the recipient
of the Safety Supervisor of the Year award, the Chairman’s
Award, and the Past Chairman’s award. Mr. Anderson’s
contributions to highway safety have been recognized
by the Baltimore County Police, the Maryland State
Police, and the Maryland State Highway Administration.
Outside
the area of motor vehicle safety, the Honorable Richard
G. Anderson is an elected member of the State Central
Committee for the 46th district. He is president of
the board and co-founder of the Brooklyn and Curtis
Bay Coalition, a faith-based community development
corporation, and active in many community projects.

D. Berger is supervisor of Subrogation for one of
the world’s
leading fleet management companies. PHH Arval is also
a market leader in the area of collision management,
providing safety and accident services to businesses
and government agencies throughout North America. In
2004, PHH recovered over $27 million for clients through
subrogation.
Jessie joined PHH in 2004 to help lead the subrogation
team. Prior to that, she worked at Zurich Insurance,
bringing 14 years of prior industry experience to
PHH. She is a member of the Client Council for E-Subro
Hub and is an active member of National Association
of Subrogation Professionals (NASP). She holds a
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Loyola College
in Baltimore Maryland.

Iwanowski is manager of Driver Records and Safety at

Kim
has been with PHH for 13 years and has held other
managerial roles in various departments prior to her
current leadership role in Driver Records and Safety.
She is member of the Executive Council for T-SAFE
(Maryland Traffic-Safety Awareness for Employers Project).
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems
from the University of Baltimore and an AA Degree
from Essex Community College in Business Administration.

Kaletta is the president of Safety Management Solutions
and works with major corporations that include Monsanto,
Walgreen Company, Johnson & Johnson, Alberto Culver,
Abbott Labs, S&C Electric, Ingersoll Rand, BASF
and PG&E. SMS’ focus with these corporations
has been implementing results-based safety and health
programs covering a variety of exposures ranging from
occupational to driver safety. The SMS Intelligent
Driver brand supports over 50,000 drivers worldwide
with on-line training, communications, benchmarking
and consulting.
Prior
to founding SMS in 1994, he was the Director of Consulting
for the National Safety Council for 7 years and prior
to that assignment worked for the Chubb Group of Insurance
Companies. Jim has an MS degree in Occupational Safety
and Health.
He
lives in the City of Chicago with his wife Lori; and
is an avid if not accomplished golfer. |
Dan
Murray

| Mr.
Murray is the Vice President of Research for the American
Transportation Research Institute, formerly known as
the ATA Foundation. ATRI, a not-for-profit research
arm of the trucking industry, conducts objective research,
analysis and evaluation on a range of transportation
issues including technology, safety & human factors,
security, environmental factors, and economic analyses.
Mr. Murray
has overall responsibility for directing the ATRI’s
substantial portfolio of research initiatives. Additionally,
he has an extensive background in freight transportation
planning and technology systems field testing.
Mr. Murray
has served as a Project Manager on research initiatives
sponsored by the FHWA, FAA, FMCSA, USDA and TSA. Prior
to joining ATRI, Mr. Murray worked for the Regional
Transit Board (Minneapolis/St. Paul) as Project Administrator.
Mr. Murray
received his BA from Gustavus Adolphus College, and
his MS degree from Northwestern University.

| Andrew
has 20 years of field and management experience in occupational
safety, health and risk management. As a graduate of
the Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s - Safety
Sciences Program in 1985 and a board certified safety
professional since 1994, Andrew has dedicated his career
to the protection of people, property and the environment.
Andrew currently serves on the ANSI Accredited Standards
Committee Z133, TCIA Safety Task Forces, TCIA Standards
and Best Work Practices Subgroup, as a member of the
Utility Arborist Association and is a past president
and delegate for the Philadelphia Chapter of the American
Society of Safety Engineers.
He
currently supports the safety compliance programs
for the Asplundh Tree Expert Company and works out
of the World Headquarters located in Willow Grove,
Pennsylvania.

| Rob
has worked in a sales leadership role with world-class
companies in the chemical, agricultural and pharmaceutical
fields throughout his career including Monsanto, Johnson
& Johnson and Merck. Most recently, he led Merck’s
Worldwide Fleet Safety program—gaining management
support at the most senior levels—resulting
in significant reductions in accidents, injuries and
their often hidden related costs.
Viewed
as an industry expert, Rob is often sought out by
other major players in the pharmaceutical field who
look to him for benchmarking guidance and program
development counsel in the area of fleet safety. Pfizer,
Abbott Laboratories, Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth,
Bristol Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly and Company, Schering-Plough,
Johnson & Johnson and Monsanto are among those
who have relied on his expertise to develop their
own world-class driver education and safety programs.
He has been a keynote speaker at the National Safety
Council’s annual Safety Congress, as well as
at local chapter meetings for the National Association
of Fleet Administrators.
In
addition to Fleet Safety, Rob has extensive expertise
in managing large and complex field sales fleets.
He leveraged his strong quantitative financial analysis
skills to dramatically improve response capabilities,
while streamlining processes and reducing procurement,
maintenance and administrative costs.
A
native of St. Louis, Missouri, Rob holds both a Bachelor
and Master of Business Administration from St. Louis
University. A father of three, Rob and his wife, Elizabeth,
make their home in Skillman, New Jersey.
